You had Skylar’s recent foray into the “Bad” lifestyle finally catching up with her, and it occurred in a whirlwind of meetings, cooked books, and cheap costume jewelry. You had the tension between Jesse and Gus reaching a fever pitch during a dinner date at Chez Fring, a meeting that will probably come to mark a turning point for these characters when we look back on this episode in the future. You had Hank in a big hurry to get a look at Gus’ “chicken farm”, genuinely disappointed when he learned– from a stomach-flu-faking Walt– that he’d have to put off that trip for another couple days: Hank wants to put the pedal to the metal on his investigation, and Walt’s “explosive diarrhea” has gotten in the way. You had little interstitials that popped up throughout the episode, showing the ABQ traffic moving at light speed. And– last but not least– you had the long-simmering tension between Jesse and Walt finally boiling over.

Md. General Assembly focuses on consumer protections
Other states, including New York and Wisconsin, have taken steps to limit exposure to BPA since the Food and Drug Administration reported concerns about its health effects. Many manufacturers already have voluntarily removed BPA from their containers. Last year, the General Assembly banned baby bottles and sippy cups with high levels of BPA. The legislation this year is aimed at the liners of infant formula cans, including those provided to families enrolled in the state’s supplemental nutrition program, said the bill’s sponsor, Del. James W. Hubbard (D-Prince George’s). “I want to make sure we’re not feeding them at the expense of poisoning them,” Hubbard said. Lawmakers also are trying to ban cheap costume jewelry for children that contains high levels of cadmium. The bill is in response to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall last year of thousands of charm bracelets with high levels of the metal, a carcinogen that might cause developmental defects.

Any jewelry I wear has to at least be 10k gold or sterling silver (surgical steel is ok). I always tell Dennis he can’t buy me cheap jewelry because I’d know within a few hours….it definitely has it’s advantages.

Adding Some Oomph to your Wardrobe
Jewelry I own about a 20 necklaces, most of which are costume jewelry, and most of which I almost never wear. Well, that’s about to change. Costume jewelry is a cheap and easy way to change up an outfit. Jewelry adds visual interest and in some cases can add a little bit of “funky” to an otherwise vanilla outfit. I especially like these two necklaces – Betsey Johnson is one of my favorites for amazing costume jewelry (although, none of her pieces are budget friendly!), but I also like this beaded necklace from Urban Outfitters.
